В спортивном зале на окраине Парижа прошел показ мужской коллекции Raf Simons весна-лето 2020. Для шоу организаторы поставили в пространстве строительные леса, постелили сиреневые ковры и обернули десятки офисных стульев черной пластиковой пленкой – на них позже сидели гости. Показ открыл Миша Натали – модель из России, ранее участвовавший в показе осенне-зимней коллекции Raf Simons 2019 и снявшийся в аналогичной рекламной кампании.

Модели выходили на подиум в одежде, напоминающей одновременно лабораторные халаты и незавершенные выкройки. На некоторых из предметов читались принты с лозунгами Stoned America, How to text your teen и My own private Antwerp. На футболках и туниках виднелся зеленый треугольник с контуром лошади – логотип легендарного звукозаписывающего лейбла R&S Records Сабины Маес и Рената Вандепапельера, который сыграл важную роль в популяризации жанра New Beat.

Стиль New Beat породил особую субкультуру, распространенную в Бельгии в конце 1980-х, как раз когда Раф Симонс учился в университете: кислота, домашние лаборатории, техно-тусовки – как раз про нее. Тем очевиднее ответ на вопрос, почему на ногах у моделей были сапоги и калоши из плотной резины, а на руках – резиновые перчатки разных цветов: белого, сиреневого, красного, оранжевого. Также на подиуме можно было увидеть верхнюю одежду, будто взятую из гардероба молодого Рафа Симонса: кожаные куртки, пальто, клетчатые квадратные пиджаки без рукавов. Все элементы показа говорят о том, что Раф не только вдохновляется молодежной культурой, но и обеспокоен ее состоянием в настоящее время. Полностью посмотреть шоу можно здесь.
