Вы наверняка помните разноцветные воздушные платья из органзы японского дизайнера Томо Коидзуми, которые чуть больше года назад заполонили наши инстаграм-ленты. Кажется, стоит готовиться к новому всплеску красок в соцсетях — один из победителей LVMH Prize 2020 года, протеже Кэти Гранд и основатель одноименной марки Tomo Koizumi создаст коллекцию для итальянского бренда Emilio Pucci. От сообщения в директ Instagram до собственного шоу на Манхэттене

Имя Томо Коидзуми прогремело в феврале прошлого года, когда японский дизайнер показал свою первую коллекцию в рамках Нью-Йоркской недели моды. Взлету своей карьеры Коидзуми обязан теории трех (не понадобилось даже шести) рукопожатий. В октябре 2018 года во время одной из своих поездок в Токио Сара Маино, глава Vogue Talents и заместитель директора итальянского Vogue, посетила школу дизайна coconogacco. Там она познакомилась с начинающими модельерами, среди которых был Томо. Сара выложила фото одной из его работ в свой инстаграм. Платье, выполненное из многослойной разноцветной японской органзы, привлекло внимание британского дизайнера Джайлса Дикона, и тот решил отправить фото стилистке, основательнице и главному редактору журнала Love Кэти Гранд (она сообщила, что покидает свой пост, несколько дней назад. — Прим. The Blueprint). Гранд связалась с Томо в личных сообщениях Instagram и предложила помочь с организацией первого шоу. Так все и началось.

Пользуясь своим авторитетом в индустрии, о проведении шоу молодого (и еще мало кому известного) дизайнера Гранд договорилась с лучшими из лучших: Марк Джейкобс предоставил свой бутик на Мэдисон-авеню в качестве подиума, легендарный кастинг-директор Анита Биттон забукировала самых востребованных моделей — Беллу Хадид, Эмили Ратаковски, Джоан Смоллс, суперзвезд позвали и для работы над волосами и макияжем — над показом дебютанта потрудились Гвидо Палау и Пэт Макграт.

Коидзуми приехал в Нью-Йорк (это была его вторая поездка в Америку) с тремя чемоданами и 28 луками для показа. Первая встреча с Гранд состоялась всего за три дня до шоу: «В его одежде была такая энергетика, что я подумала: «Этот парень не может быть плохим человеком», — говорила она, в целом объясняя свой авантюризм хорошей интуицией и чутьем. Детали шоу держались в секрете, и единственным анонсом стала новость на WWD — за 24 часа до показа.

«Прорыв Нью-Йоркской недели моды» — гласили заголовки модных изданий на следующий день после шоу, а инстаграм пестрил яркими оборками платьев Коидзуми. Кэти же отправила Томо эсэмэс с текстом: «Лучшее, что я видела за последнее время». Скрин этого сообщения еще долго стоял у Томо на заставке телефона.

Платья-минутки и микрокоманда

Имя Томо прочно ассоциируется с воздушными яркими платьями из органзы, однако к этой технике дизайнер-самоучка (у Томо диплом преподавателя-искусствоведа) пришел не сразу. «Еще три года назад моя одежда была обтягивающей и подчеркивающей очертания тела», — объяснял он изданию SCMP. Но со временем, разработав новую технику работы с японской органзой, дизайнер нашел свой почерк — которым и покорил модную индустрию.

На вопрос, сколько времени занимает изготовление одного платья, Коидзуми без стеснения отвечает: «На самом деле это делается очень быстро. Четыре-пять часов». Видимо, именно поэтому у дизайнера такая небольшая команда, в работе над второй коллекцией Tomo Koizumi весна—лето 2020 кроме самого Томо принимали участие всего один ассистент и несколько стажеров. А студии, где ведется работа над коллекциями, до сих пор хватает места в квартире сестры Коидзуми в модном токийском районе Накамегуро.

Не только подиум, но и сцена

До того как волшебная сила соцсетей разнесла молву о выдающемся японском дизайнере, Томо был достаточно известен в своей стране. Но не как модельер, а как костюмер, работавший над концертными нарядами знаменитостей. Так, первой звездой мирового масштаба, обратившей внимание на Томо Коидзуми, стала Леди Гага. В его сером пышном платье, которое певица дополнила широкополой шляпой с нашивкой VOTE (фото было сделано накануне выборов президента США), Гага появилась в аэропорту Токио четыре года назад. За ней подтянулись и другие звезды: дизайнер создавал концертные костюмы для мирового тура гонконгской певицы Мириам Ян, одевал Рину Саваяму на красные дорожки, Майли Сайрус — на вечеринку в честь премьеры 11-го сезона RuPaul’s Drag Racе, Софи Тернер — в клипе братьев Джонас на песню Sucker, а совсем недавно — Кэти Перри для съемки в поддержку только что вышедшего альбома Smile. «Я много работаю с музыкантами, они вдохновляют меня. Они много двигаются и знают, как показать свою красоту», — говорил Томо.

«Мне часто говорят, что я должен делать более коммерческие коллекции. Но я не готов к этому. Возможно, в следующем году. Я не хочу торопиться и делать что-то, что мне не нужно, не интересно, что меня на самом деле не трогает», — утверждал Томо Коидзуми в интервью Vogue в 2019 году. Год прошел, и, кажется, коммерческой коллекции все-таки быть. 8 сентября стало известно, что Коидзуми разработает капсулу для итальянского бренда Emilio Pucci (в начале года Emilio Pucci объявили, что каждый сезон будут привлекать к созданию коллекций разных дизайнеров. В прошлом сезоне свою работу показала Кристель Коше).

«Я не умею создавать коммерческую одежду. Если я буду делать прет-а-порте, это должно быть что-то простое. Я хотел бы отделить линию ready-to-wear от своих основных коллекций», — говорил Томо WWD. Какой получится коллаборация дизайнера и Emilio Pucci, мы узнаем из короткометражного фильма, который уже 26 сентября покажут в рамках Миланской недели моды.
