На Неделе моды в Нью-Йорке прошел показ Christopher John Rogers. Лауреат премии молодых дизайнеров CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund 2019 показал объемные жакеты с утрированными плечами и платья перламутровых цветов с яркими принтами, оборками и рюшами. На создание коллекции осень-зима 2020 Кристофера Джона Роджерса вдохновили костюмы Пьеро, работы Мадам Гре и мусорные мешки (они, по словам дизайнера, ничуть не хуже драпировок с картин эпохи Возрождения). «Эта одежда дорогая, и она должна выглядеть дорого. Я пытаюсь создать наряды, которые станут фамильной реликвией и которые даже я пока не могу себе позволить, но, возможно, лет в 40 или 50 я смогу [их купить]», – рассказал Кристофер Джон Роджерс. Брови моделей украсили кристаллами Swarovski, а за пышные квадратные, треугольные и круглые прически отвечала Наима Лафонд.

Перед тем как получить награду CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Кристофер Джон Роджерс успел показать всего три коллекции.
